Gnas is a market town with 6055 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2016) in the south-east of Styria in the district of Southeastern Styria. As part of the municipal structural reform in Styria, the community since 2015 with the communities Aug-Radisch, Baumgarten at Gnas, Grabersdorf, Maierdorf, Poppendorf, Raning, Trössing, Unterauersbach and a part of Kohlberg (Styria) joined together and continues the name Gnas. The basis for this is the Styrian Municipal Reform Act - StGsrG.
