Enns is a city with 11,738 inhabitants (1 January 2016) in the district Linz-Land in Upper Austria. It is located on 281 m above sea level on the river Enns, which forms the border to Lower Austria here. The community is located in the judicial district Steyr. Enns describes itself, not without controversy, as the oldest town in Austria, the town charter from the year 1212 can be seen in Enns Museum. City landmark is the 60 m high city tower. In addition, Enns was the first Cittaslow town in Austria.
