Uralla Shire is a Local Government Area (LGA) in the Australian state of New South Wales. The area is 3,230 square kilometers and has about 6,000 inhabitants. Uralla located in the northeast of the country about 510 kilometers north of Sydney and 490 kilometers south of Brisbane. The area includes 53 districts and places, including Arding, Brushgrove, Kentucky, Kentucky South, Kingstown, Rocky River, Torryburn, Uralla, Wollun and Yarrowyck and parts of Bundarra and Dumaresq. The seat of the Shire Council is located in the town of Uralla in the southeastern half of the LGA, where about 2,400 people live.
