Port Macquarie-Hastings is a Local Government Area (LGA) in the Australian state of New South Wales. The area is 3,687 square kilometers and has about 73,000 inhabitants. Port Macquarie-Hastings is located on the East Coast in the Mid-North Coast region of the state 390 km northeast of Sydney and 560 kilometers south of Brisbane. The area covers 116 districts and towns, including Bell Angry, Birdwood, Bonny Hills, Byabarra, Camden Haven, Comboyne, Ellenborough, North Haven, West Haven, Dunbogan, Gannons Creek Herons Creek, Kendall, Kew, Kindee, Lake Cathie, Lakewood, Laurieton, Long Flat, Lorne, Mortons Creek, Pappinbarra, Pembrooke, port Macquarie, Rolland Plains, Telegraph Point, Wauchope and Yarras. The administrative headquarters of the council is in the town of Port Macquarie, where about 41,500 people live.
