Biloela (debate / bɪləwiːlə /) is a town in central Queensland, Australia. It is the center of the LGA Banana Shire Council. The name comes from the word for Kakadu in the language of the Aborigines. It is located about 120 km southwest of Gladstone away, at the intersection of highways 17 and 60 Burnett Highway Dawson Highway. The city lives mainly from mining of black coal and agriculture, and animal husbandry. 40 km west is the Kroombit Tops National Park. One of the largest employers is the company Teys Bros., a slaughterhouse that every day 703 cattle has processed in of 2005.
