Belconnen is a district of Canberra, capital of Australia. It is 129.6 square kilometers and includes 25 districts with a total of 86,189 inhabitants (2003). Belconnen is northwest of the center and surrounding the artificial Lake Ginninderra on Ginninderra Creek, which opens into the Molonglo River. Most neighborhoods emerged 1967 to 1974, to 1994, some were added.
